Erin and Brian got married!

Erin and I go back pretty far; back to when I was working at “the hot.” She was a manager of mine and we instantly bonded. I would always look up to her and come to her with any problem. Mostly personal. She was always there for me.

Funny thing is, she told me then that if she were to ever get married, she wanted me so when she asked, I was more than happy to photograph her wedding!

Her and Brian met on match.com! He is from Philly and a very nice guy. His parents even brought cases of Philadelphia beer for some of the guests. Reminds me of Shiner, very good.

It was my first time photographing a Methodist Ceremony. It is so personal and the bride and groom are sure to greet each and every guest.

The reception was held at the Alumni Center in Manhattan.

A big thank you to Samantha Pierce for second shooting with me!

Enjoy!

claire, at 29 weeks.

This is my friend, Claire. She is going to have one-cute-little-boy. We had lunch at Encore Cafe in Lawrence yesterday and I snapped a few photos of her at her new house beforehand.

I can’t wait for the little one to arrive so I can photograph him.

#Conrow 2012 is trending.

Jess and I became friends through one of our mutual friends and I Met Chris at a Halloween party last year. I saw how great they were together and have only heard her say good things since!

Jess has been dreaming of this day for some time and I am so happy I got to capture them on camera.

How they met:

Chris and Jessica met each other in a Leadership Studies course in February of 2007, while attending Kansas State University. It was time for the dreaded “find your partner for a project,” and Jessica had two options: 1) a handsome young gent  that she had yet to meet, or 2) Cactus, a chatty girl from Phoenix.  Jessica went for option one and met Christopher George Conrow.

After working together for a few months on the class project, Christopher and Jessica became quite friendly.  They slowly courted for a bit before Christopher invited Jessica to his fraternity’s formal in Kansas City in April of that year.

While in Kansas City, the two enjoyed their time together dancing the night away! That evening they became a couple and it has been blissful ever since.

She had quite the proposal:

Chris surprised Jessica with a party to celebrate her acceptance into Law School and decision to attend Washburn University.  He planned for weeks making everything perfect.  Later in the evening he thanked all the friends and family that attended the party and begin to speak about how the two met five years ago, and how lucky he was that Jessica chose him as her partner for the school project.  For Jessica, it was all a blur after he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! Of course she said yes! She was so thrilled that her and Christopher’s friends and family could share the moment with them.

The night got even more eventful later in the evening. After having a bit too much champagne, Jessica ran into a door frame and split her chin.  The two spent the majority of their engagement night in the emergency room!

What a story! I love Jessica and am so happy she has found her match.

Here they are through my eyes.

It was an “I want to be a flower child” kind of Monday.

It’s always a great day when my dear friend, emily texts me and let’s me know that she’ll be in town.

We met up in lawrence on monday afternoon and had a lot of fun catching up. we talked about the amazing people in our lives, surprises, and happy endings.

she graciously asked me to help her with taking photographs awhile back, and i am still having so much fun teaching her a thing or two.

i get to photograph my beautiful friend and we get to catch up. it’s a win-win.

these are actually my favorite images i’ve taken of her thus far.

it was a gorgeous day and we had a lot of fun switching up scenery and adventuring through the woods.

Matt and Leah are celebrating!

The valentine’s- matt, leah, mirra, langston, and sawyer.

I met them through my best friend, Ashley. she and leah have known each other since fifth grade. although leah and matt had a wedding a few years ago, they wanted to celebrate matt’s homecoming. he was stationed in Afghanistan for a year and just got back.

we are calling it a renewal of vows. vows they’ve held onto for six years thus far.

after the ceremony (held at shawnee mission park) matt ran over to me and said, “i never got the chance to thank you for the pictures you took of leah and the girls awhile back. they were just what i needed over there.” that alone made me feel so great and those are the things that make me love what i do even more.

cheers to the valentine’s!

Congratulations to you both.

I wish you all of the luck at ft. drum in new york and hope to see you soon!
